Upcoming Sales At The Ranch
Letter From the Ranch
November 20, 2023
There is no question; the biggest issue in the cattle industry is when will the rebuilding phase begin? As producers we have not seen inventory this low since 1962. Dr. Peel, economist, with Oklahoma State University states “Beef production is down 5.2 percent thus far in 2023. This is a significant decline from 2022 record beef production but is less of a decrease than would be the case if herd liquidation were not continuing. Smaller beef cow inventories are ahead and more dramatic reductions in cattle slaughter and beef production – and higher cattle prices - will occur when herd rebuilding gets rolling. This process looks to continue into 2026 at least.” With these statistics it presents much opportunity for cattlemen to capitalize on the markets before the rebuilding begins.
On December 2nd ‘At The Ranch’ we will be featuring A Bar Ranch & 7S Stuart Ranch spring bred heifers. These females will be bred to 4-star calving ease Express Ranch Angus bulls and Schilling ranch calving ease bulls. Both sets will be in a 30-day calving period beginning 2-1-24. Additionally, you will find unexposed pairs, heavy bred cows, and young spring bred cows. Please see the breakdown and you will find specific information on each set.
We are excited about the quality of pairs, cows, and heifers at this sale. Videos have been/will be posted and online bidding is available through DV Auction. Please see the QR code below, there you will find a link to the videos and registration if you wish to be online.
